Gostomel Shelter cares for approximately 500 dogs, many of whom arrive underweight, sick, traumatised or after periods of neglect. The project provides a stable supply of nutritionally complete dry food to ensure uninterrupted daily meals. Purchasing food in bulk also enables the shelter to maintain an emergency reserve and reduces the risk of shortages caused by supply disruptions or increases in the number of rescued animals.
The project directly supports approximately 500 dogs by providing consistent nutrition essential to survival, immunity and physical recovery. Reliable feeding also supports behavioural stability and rehabilitation, improves adoption readiness, and strengthens the shelter’s capacity to accept emergency cases while reducing dependence on urgent fundraising.
