Rehabilitation retreats for children living in or displaced from the frontline territories
Choven.Children provides structured psychosocial rehabilitation for Ukrainian children aged 10–16 affected by war. Priority groups include children from families of fallen defenders, children of active military personnel and veterans, and children living in or displaced from frontline territories. A 10-day residential camp in the Carpathian region combines trauma-informed psychological support, individual and group counselling, non-formal education, art-based interventions and nature-based restorative activities.
One camp session is expected to directly involve 15 children and two accompanying psychologists, while approximately 15 parents or caregivers benefit indirectly through follow-up guidance and recommendations. The intervention aims to reduce anxiety and emotional stress, strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills, rebuild trust and peer relationships, and support longer-term resilience.
