Ukrainians are not only surviving a war. They are already imagining and preparing for what comes after it.

Rebuilding is about more than bricks and buildings. It is about creating the conditions in which families can put down roots, communities can thrive and a new generation can build their future. Postcode Ukraine supports organisations investing in people, homes, skills and inclusion, laying foundations for Ukraine’s long-term recovery.

uBoost’s Create HERE! program supports 500 young people from small towns and war-affected communities to build practical skills, confidence and future opportunities through entrepreneurship. Connecting teenagers with mentors and role models succeeding in Ukraine, it challenges the idea that leaving is the only path to success - shifting the narrative from “leaving to succeed” to “staying to build.” Postcode Ukraine’s $2,000 grant enabled 25 young people to join the program.

Housing for IDPs transforms disused and damaged buildings into safe, long-term homes for families displaced by war. Since 2023, Postcode Ukraine has given $117,000 in grants with further projects planned. Projects supported by Postcode Ukraine in Irpin and the Vinnytsia region have created homes for 33 families. Housing for IDPs also helps individual families secure homes of their own, providing stability, independence and a foundation from which to rebuild their lives.

Social Unity Every child deserves to find themselves in a story. Ommm, by Nataliia Cheredniuk, is Ukraine’s first inclusive children’s book adapted into Ukrainian Sign Language, opening storytelling to over 7,000 deaf children. Through books and interactive presentations, it supports language development, emotional literacy, confidence and connection.
