The loudest voice in the world is the one unspoken. And it’s hers.
The solemnity of her wild femininity is demonstrated in the garden which she anchors. The chaos of her surroundings is felt by the angles, both natural and unnatural behind her.
We know, without knowing because she is standing both frail and strong at once that she is facing an unknown future.
It is the absence of emotion in this photograph that creates such profound emotionality. The absence of sentimentality itself that creates such profound sentiment.
The red and the green colors in juxtaposition, but quite literal stop and go again create a subliminal message to the viewer. Standing in the middle of the statement of innocence, the statement of presence, the statement of the moment of now.
Forcing viewer to examine not only the consciousness within the art piece, but within themselves.
Diary of a Volunteer is both an exhibition and a fundraising project.
